DAY 1
Delhi Arrival & Drive to Shimla
• Welcome to India’s Capital: Meet our representative upon arrival at Delhi Airport or Railway Station. • Journey to Shimla: Drive through the plains of Northern India transitioning into the cool hills of Himachal Pradesh. • Check-In: Arrive by late afternoon/evening; settle into your hotel. • Leisure: Take an evening stroll along the famous Mall Road or relax at your hotel. Overnight: Shimla
DAY 2
Shimla – Kufri – Narkanda
After breakfast, check out from your hotel in Shimla and proceed towards Narkanda. En route, visit Kufri, a popular hill destination known for its scenic beauty and adventure activities. Enjoy the panoramic Himalayan views and leisure time. Later, continue your drive to Narkanda (Approx. 65 km / 2–3 hrs). Upon arrival, check in to your hotel. Enjoy the peaceful surroundings and overnight stay at Narkanda.
DAY 3
Narkanda to Chitkul – A Visit to India’s Last Village
Route: Narkanda → Rampur → Sangla → Chitkul Depart for Chitkul, the last inhabited village near the Indo-Tibetan border, known for its breathtaking scenery and traditional wooden houses. Travel through Rampur and Sangla Valley, crossing winding mountain roads and lush pine forests. On arrival, take a leisurely walk along the Baspa River, visit Mathi Temple, and interact with the welcoming locals. Overnight stay in Chitkul.
DAY 4
Chitkul to Nako – Spin the 500-Year-Old Prayer Wheel Made of Yak Skin
Route: Chitkul → Reckong Peo → Pooh → Nako Distance: 120 km | Travel Time: 6-7 hours After breakfast, drive toward Nako, a peaceful high-altitude village known for its serene lake and ancient monastery. En route, pass through Reckong Peo, Pooh, and Kinnaur Valley. At Nako, visit the 500-year-old Nako Monastery and spin the prayer wheel made of yak skin. Enjoy a short walk around Nako Lake, surrounded by stunning Himalayan peaks. Overnight stay in Nako.
DAY 5
Nako to Kaza & Local Sightseeing
Route: Nako → Tabo → Dhankar → Kaza Distance: 110 km | Travel Time: 6-7 hours Post breakfast, drive towards Kaza, the capital of Spiti Valley. • Stop at Tabo Monastery, one of the oldest Buddhist monasteries in the Himalayas, dating back to 996 AD. • Visit Dhankar Monastery, dramatically perched on a cliff offering breathtaking views of Spiti Valley. • Reach Kaza, check into your hotel, and explore the local market and cafes. Overnight stay in Kaza.
DAY 6
Kaza Sightseeing – Key Monastery & High-Altitude Villages
Route: Kaza → Langza → Hikkim → Komic → Kibber → Chicham Bridge → Kaza Distance: 90 km | Travel Time: 4-5 hours Stay: Kaza (Night 6) After breakfast, visit Key Monastery, a famous Tibetan Buddhist monastery offering panoramic views of Spiti Valley. Continue to: • Hikkim, home to the world’s highest post office. • Komic, one of the highest motorable villages in the world (15,027 ft). • Langza, famous for fossil-rich landscapes and a giant Buddha statue. • Kibber, a scenic village near the wildlife sanctuary. • Chicham Bridge, Asia’s highest suspension bridge at 13,596 feet. Return to Kaza in the evening and explore the local market. Overnight stay in Kaza.
DAY 7
Kaza to Kalpa via Dhankar – Marvel at the Majestic Kinnaur Kailash Peak
Route: Kaza → Dhankar → Tabo → Nako → Kalpa Distance: 200 km | Travel Time: 7-8 hours After breakfast, depart from Kaza and retrace your journey back toward Kalpa, one of the most scenic villages in Himachal Pradesh. En route, stop at: • Dhankar Monastery, offering breathtaking views of Spiti Valley. • Tabo Monastery, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. • Nako Lake, a perfect lunch stop. Upon arrival in Kalpa, witness the majestic Kinnaur Kailash range, glowing under the setting sun. Overnight stay in Kalpa.
DAY 8
Kalpa to Shimla
Route: Kalpa → Reckong Peo → Rampur → Shimla Distance: 220 km | Travel Time: 7-9 hours Check out and drive back to Shimla, retracing the scenic route through Kinnaur Valley, Rampur, and Narkanda. Upon arrival in Shimla, the trip concludes, marking the end of an unforgettable Valley adventure.
DAY 9
Last Day: Shimla to Delhi Drive – End of Spiti Tour
After breakfast, check out from your hotel in Shimla. Begin your return journey to Delhi, passing through Chandigarh for a quick meal or refreshment break. Enjoy the scenic highway drive through the Shivalik Hills and plains of Haryana. Drop-off at Delhi Airport/Railway Station/Your Preferred Location, marking the end of an unforgettable Spiti tour.
