Uttarakhand — Devbhoomi, the Land of the Gods

Few states offer this range. Nainital curls around its emerald lake beneath Naina Peak; Mussoorie, the Queen of Hills, gazes over the Doon Valley from Camel's Back Road and Lal Tibba. Rishikesh — the world's yoga capital — pairs evening Ganga aarti at Triveni Ghat with white-water rafting through marble canyons. Jim Corbett, India's oldest national park (est. 1936), shelters one of the country's densest tiger populations. Auli's meadows become India's premier ski slopes each winter, reached by one of Asia's longest ropeways. And above it all sit the Char Dham — Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath and Badrinath — the holiest pilgrimage circuit in the Himalaya, open from Akshaya Tritiya (April/May) to Diwali (Oct/Nov) each year.

About Our Uttarakhand Tour Packages
Uttarakhand — Devbhoomi, the Land of the Gods — rises from the Ganga plains at Haridwar to the 7,816-metre summit of Nanda Devi. Carved into two historic regions, Kumaon in the east and Garhwal in the west, it holds an extraordinary mix of holiday and pilgrimage in one compact state.
Kumaon's lake country centres on Nainital, the colonial-era hill station wrapped around the emerald Naini Lake at 2,084 m. Boating at dawn, the ropeway to Snow View Point and day trips to the quieter lakes of Bhimtal, Sattal and Naukuchiatal make it the classic first Uttarakhand holiday. Nearby, Jim Corbett National Park — India's first national park, established in 1936 — offers jeep safaris through sal forest and grassland in search of tigers, wild elephants and over 600 bird species.
Garhwal is the spiritual heart. Haridwar's Ganga aarti at Har Ki Pauri and Rishikesh's ashram-lined ghats anchor the foothills; from September to June, Rishikesh also runs India's most popular white-water rafting on the Ganga. Higher up, Mussoorie — the Queen of Hills — overlooks the Doon Valley, with Kempty Falls, Gun Hill and the writers' haunt of Landour.
The Char Dham Yatra is Uttarakhand's crown: Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath and Badrinath, opening each year around Akshaya Tritiya (late April/early May) and closing around Diwali. Kedarnath requires a 16-km trek from Gaurikund — ponies, palanquins and helicopter services are available — and the Uttarakhand government requires advance Yatra registration for every pilgrim, which we complete for all our guests. Our itineraries build in altitude-friendly pacing and use experienced hill drivers only.
For winter, Auli (Dec–March) is India's favourite ski resort, reached by a spectacular ropeway from Joshimath, while Chopta–Tungnath–Chandrashila offers the most rewarding short trek in the Himalaya — crowned by the world's highest Shiva temple. In monsoon, the UNESCO-listed Valley of Flowers (July–September) blankets itself in hundreds of alpine blooms.
Getting there: Jolly Grant Airport (Dehradun) and Pantnagar serve the state; trains reach Haridwar, Dehradun, Rishikesh and Kathgodam (for Nainital); Delhi is 5–7 hours by road from most gateways. No permits are needed for general tourism — only Char Dham registration and park/trek entry fees, all of which we arrange.
